Eligibility

Program funding is primarily targeted for small business and research institution clients. The Program is also available to ACS member inventor clients on a more limited based. ACS member inventors must meet additional eligibility criteria and investment funding is more limited because of greater development risks.

To be eligible, Small Business Clients must have at least

1. 5 employees,
2. $2M in book value, and
3. 2 years of strong and proven operating history.

To be eligible, Research Institution Clients must have

1. Non-profit status,
2. An education and research mission orientation, and
3. A history of discovering and licensing C&AS technologies.

To be eligible, ACS Member Clients must have at least

1. Ownership of a valid, youthful U.S. Patent (< 2 years from issuance),
2. A business plan, and
3. C&AS technology that will revolutionize a large market segment.
